Final Major Project - Contrasted Architecture

FMP - Contrasted Architecture

To begin i wanted to start of creatively and experimentally. I decided to make my own structure by leaning two wooden easils together (creating links to architecture/structure/shape) and drawing them in different medias and methods.

Because shape is a possible idea to include in my project, i decided to work away from detailed drawings and look for shapes only. I drew the outline of my structure and negative space too. This create some lovely shapes which i went on to use digitally.

Layering my drawings meant i had more shapes to work with as internal shapes were created. The blue outline on this drawing is very vivid, something i particularly like.

I like the idea of not including the outline of the structure and just drawing the negative shapes, although it makes it less obvious whas i was drawing, it still links to my project.

I experimented drawing with graphite but with it on its side instead. I found this looked like more of a background for the next drawing i applied on top, this is something i could use for future reference.

I continued drawing just the negative spaces as i found i had more shape varities from this, especially when moving the easils in to different positions.

Some of these drawings can be used on illustrator to create vector drawings/digital drawings.
