Project 6: Idioms

     

I wanted to experiment with different types of text for the 'two can play at that game' idiom. I found it could be a very playful piece once as a final image with text therefore cutting out letters from magazines made it querky. I Found it also looked like a ransom note, which then could link to getting revenge on somewhere, so luckily all my ideas came together.

 I also experimented with using printing letter blocks by rolling printing ink on to them and pressing them on to my page. With the letters all being in different fonts it was another version of the previous experiment.

I also carried on with my ABC project in print making, this still links to my trace elements project. I created two small collograph plates, the first one i cut out strips to make obvious lines when printed (print above). And the other one i just made lines with the crafts knife, which when printed had a less obvious print (print below).
