Final Major Project - Contrasted Architecture

FMP - Contrasted Architecture

As well as taking photographs on my journeys I drew from observation. I made my drawings very quick and simple, so I could get shapes which would help my ideas develop more.

Drawing from old fashioned railings was something I spent a lot of my time doing, as there are so many shapes that come from them.

I think these drawings both have lovely compositions, something I need to be considering throughout my project.

The contrast between my drawings shows a lot here where I drew a modern building in Sheffield, this compared to my drawings of railings is very contrasting.

These are yet again more drawings I admire for the composition. The shapes fit lovely together, they give off quite a delicate look, personally I think this is because the edges are all curved.

This final drawing is where my ideas began to change completely. Looking at the lines that cross with each other, I started to see lettering. I developed on to working with typography from here.
