Project 3: Graphical Observation

Using our portait drawings from the previous lesson we began to work with wire which we folded into the shape of the drawing. I found that this really emphasized that the drawing was created with one continuous line as the wire is obviously a continuous material.

I really like how the wire looked once places on a white background away from the drawing. Although it didn't look like a realistic face it still has its main features such as eyes, nose and the mouth.

This piece i created quickly with my left over wire, it is all made of the same piece of wire. Although the face shape isn't there i still find it quite effective.

I created a shaddow of my wire pieces by shining a light over them. It created some really interesting lines on the paper behind the wire.

All of the pieces together made each piece compliment another.
