FMP - Contrasted Architecture
I decided I wanted to work a little more practically again, to bring more concepts in to my digital work. I visited Hardwick, a local place to me, as the Hardwick hall (old and new) are both old buildings which highly contrast with Sheffield city buildings and architecture.
Shape and negative space is something I considered whilst taking my photographs.
Windows created negative space and more shapes to work from.
I also used my sketchbook to create some quick drawings, yet again thinking of negative space and shape. Using a variety of materials I created a series of these drawings.
I particularly like the second drawing here, however I would find it hard to include with my project for I have been focusing on shapes and this certain drawing is more illustrative and has a busy messy effect to it, where I would have more development from simple shapes.
Using collage in my drawings give them more depth however I think I should go back to working digitally to go even more in-depth.
