Final Major Project - Contrasted Architecture

FMP - Contrasted Architecture

As I stated previously in my blog, I wanted to experiment with these backgrounds more, by adding text and maybe more shapes. My inspiration came from Jo Van Grinderbeek (designer, shown in my sketchbook) who used circles and lines to form a way to add text.

I wanted to use white on this piece as another colour would make it look too much, and black wouldn't stand out. I made the white circle blend over the imagery so it wasn't so bold, I feel this works more appropriately. The text looks very structural, just how I wanted it to.

The image above had quite a neutral colour palette for the background, therefore I chose to use the green I have been using on top of it, yet again with the blended effect to keep it subtle. I positioned the circle, the line and the text in a complete different composition to the other experiment, to show versatility.

With this background being so bright I chose a neutral colour, in this case grey, for circle and line structure. I made this image a little different from the others as I used white text over the grey circle, and where it went on to the light circle I filled in the shapes with green. This looked very abstract and effective and creates shapes within the text.

These images are definitely what I want to include in my exhibition, I feel they are strong enough and developed enough to be part of it.
