Final Major Project - Contrasted Architecture

FMP - Contrasted Architecture

Working in the concept of circles, I decided to put my own photography in to actual circles themselves, this was inspired by an artist (can be seen in my sketchbook) who worked in this way.
The image above works much better as the sky has been edited out to white, making it blend with the background. This makes a shape by itself (the building and the circle edge). The circle edge and the buildings edged contrast lovely together.

The above piece is less effective simple because the sky was too dark to edit out. The shape of the building going through the circle I what I like the most, especially with it being off-set to the left.

The line going through this circle is very interesting, even though the sky is a little noticeable. The simplicity of the building is what makes the piece only be noticed for its shape, this is not a disadvantage.

This circle looks like it is made of two parts as the building is much darker than the sky. The clouds give it a delicate finishing touch.

The building edged are almost parallel, making it look like a diagonal shape going straight through the circle. This one works effectively again as the sky is very unnoticeable. I really like working romtis building as the window made it so much more interesting with their windows and the reflections in them.

This is another favourite for the sky being faded out. It actually reminds me of a pie-chart used in mathematics, it almost looks like 1/3 (a third). The reflections on the glass building work nicely as creating a textured look.

These circles can be developed much further, possibly with text and more shapes.
