Final Major Project - Contrasted Architecture

FMP - Contrasted Architecture

Using shapes from my previous drawings and collages, and some of my photography, I created vector drawings and then placed my photos in to them in Photoshop.

The shapes in this image (above) are so delicate, then the wood (photograph) contrasts with this as it is a hard material, and the lines are so sharp and strong.

I like the use of my own photography in my work, it is very relevant and can help with composition.

I added my own photography in to these shapes. To keep the idea of contrasting architecture I used a photo of  Sheffield city building as the shapes are inspired from Hardwick architecture. The one thing I really like it how the stitch lines are still noticeable, adding a slight final touch to it. I think black and white works effectively for this.

I really like how the stitch is very noticeable in this piece, however the imagery on the left hand side is just too much, it doesn't make the piece simple enough.
